Bridgesource recently hit a big milestone with the first concrete placement for its new Precast plant in Bluffdale, Utah. Sister companies Geneva Rock and Suncore both played an important role in the work, with Geneva Rock supplying 250 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete, and Suncore handling the footing excavation and site prep that made the pour possible.

The plant is being built on Geneva Rock’s newly acquired property just south of its existing Bluffdale operations. Up to this point, Suncore has moved 500,000 cubic yards of material on site. The large continuous footings placed during this phase will support the overhead cranes Bridgesource will use to strip drycast and wetcast products. Once complete, the facility is expected to produce as much precast product as Northwest Pipe Company did in 2023 and help support a stronger supply of key products used by Suncore, Geneva Rock and W.W. Clyde & Co.

“This was a huge moment for the project,” said Brannon Burton, Division Manager at Bridgesource. “A lot of work went into getting us here, so it was good to see that first placement happen. It also says a lot about what our teams can do when Bridgesource, Geneva Rock and Suncore are all working toward the same goal.”
