Why the region needs a cement plant
- The Western U.S. needs more cement production. Only 1/3 of the roughly 96 cement plants in operation in the U.S. reside in the Western states. Shortages in recent years are currently being met by foreign imports.
- U.S. dependence on imported cement is increasing. Foreign imports have increased 8% in the last four years (usgs.gov). Growth in Western states will lead to even higher imports.
- We want to see our communities grow and thrive. Bridgesource is a subsidiary of Clyde Companies, a 100-year-old family-owned business, and one of the largest producers of ready-mix concrete in the area.
Project Site
The project site consists of approximately 2,200 acres of land with ready access to critical infrastructure.
Environmental Protection & Public Safety
Employee safety, community well-being and environmental care are our top priorities. We’re partnering with agencies like the Bureau of Land Management and the Nevada Department of Air Quality to secure essential permits and approvals, ensuring all safety measures are in place.
